On Friday 25 August 2017, Micah Projects will hold the 14th Annual Moonlight Magic Dinner Dance in the Plaza Ballroom at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre – Brisbane’s premier venue for gala events. The Moonlight Magic Dinner Dance (MMDD) is a community event where guests include business leaders, residents of Level 3 Supported Accommodation, elected officials, formerly homeless people and a broad range of people from the community, nearly half of all who experience economic disadvantage and social isolation on a daily basis. This is a quiz night to help raise funds and awarness for the business Your Youth Support. The Lakes 2017 Member’s Charity Golf Day is your chance to network with like-minded professionals and sportspeople, whilst helping to cure childhood cancer, the leading cause of disease-related death for children in Australia. The Adventurers' Brainchild Ball WA returns in 2017 on Saturday the 22nd July in the Astral Ballroom, Crown Perth. This year the Ball is entitled Issho Ni, the Japanese phrase for “together”- encapsulates the spirit of The Ball, as guests come together to celebrate the food, entertainment and culture of Japan, and to contribute to the end of childhood brain cancer. The HeartKids Charity Shield is held annually between Centrals Tigers and Norths Devils Rugby League Clubs to raise awareness for HeartKids and is held during the regular TDRL season. This years clash will be held at Peggy Banfield Park, Bushland Beach on Friday 21 July 2017 at 8.00pm. The NF Megahero March is a walk for the NF Community, family and friends to get involved to raise funds for research and awareness into NF.  Each city will have one Megahero Baton with as many people as possible, carrying it as they walk. But as part of this special event, everyone that registers will get their VERY OWN YELLOW CAPE! Funds raised at Diamond Ball will go towards the Zero Childhood Cancer program, A national personalised medicine program for children with high risk cancer. This program is jointly led by Children’s Cancer Institute and the Kids Cancer Centre at Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick. It will give hope to children who are at highest risk of treatment failure, by identifying the best possible tailored treatments for them.  The Zero Childhood Cancer program will involve all pediatric oncology units across Australia including the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne and Monash Children’s Hospital who treat the 950 children and adolescents who are diagnosed with cancer every year.
