The Second Chance charity held a lovely luncheon on Friday July 26 at the Baguette Restaurant on Racecourse Road in Ascot. Second Chance raises funds to support projects to help homeless women. Their goal is to change the way society responds to homelessness by raising money in order to facilitate the provision of accommodation and services for women so there are fewer homeless women in South East Queensland. Many women who would otherwise have been sleeping rough have been housed through the SCP partnership with the Brisbane Housing Company and other agencies – through the ‘bridge the gap’ program.
Luncheon attendees enjoyed a scrumptious luncheon with wine created by the talented chefs at Baguette. This successful event was organised by Margo Powell, and attendees included yours truly, Dale Spender and Pia Du Pradal.
