Some 120 people enjoyed a lovely luncheon yesterday at the Brisbane Customs House to raise funds for Second Chance who fund emergency beds for women in Queensland off the street, safe haven in refuges for women and children feeling family violence, and the ultimate aim - permanent, affordable accommodation. In other words, a true home.
Picture above is luncheon attendee Kate Altham who is the Festival Director/CEO of the Brisbane Writers Festival. other attendees includes former Governor-General Quentin Bryce, Second Chance Host Dale Spender and Gary Bourke, Executive Manager Special Development for the Richmond Fellowship Queensland - community mental health recovery support.
Everyone enjoyed the wonderful discussion with ABC Presenter Annabel Crabb, who also signed copies of her new book.
