Australia Day in Wollongong is Aquathon, and 2015 marks the events 16th edition of the ever popular swim and run and community walk for charity.
Australia's favourite swim and run, brings thousands to the picturesque Wollongong boat harbour, from the hundreds of kids, to adults of all ages young and not so young, from the many first timers or fun fitness types, to the elite international class athlete.
Wollongong harbour comes alive for Australia Day and thousands join the party.
Aquathon kick starts the fun, and with four swim and run events (kids, female first timer, short and long distances) and the inclusive scenic 3km Community walk for Charity, it for everyone!
The event is about enjoying a unique and welcoming fun way for families and friends, and in turn support local charities as partners Anglicare.
It's Australia's largest Aquathon, offering amazing value, services, entry kit inclusion, a brilliant safe course, fantastic support crew and loads of prizes be it for age winners or barrel draws.
The day includes a huge fair, stalls, rides, concerts, street parades, entertainment and concludes with a spectacular fireworks show.
