Amnesty International Australia Theatresports™ Challenge - Sydney - Has Ended
DO Details
Join Weekend Sunrise host and former Theatresports™ champion Andrew O’Keefe for a night of serious hilarity, as Australia’s most brilliant improvisers go head-to-head for Amnesty International and World Human Rights Day at Sydney’s much-loved Belvoir St Theatre.
Channelling the spirit of the John Cleese-led Secret Policemen’s Balls -- fundraising comedy galas held for Amnesty International in the 1970s -- Australia’s stars of ad lib are teaming up to answer the age-old question: Do actions speak louder than words?
And with virtually no rules in place, the answers are sure to be wildly entertaining.
The Theatresports™ competition will help mark the lead up to Human Rights Day (December 10) and Amnesty International’s Write for Rights campaign, where more than two million letters will be written to support people suffering human rights abuses around the world.
With canapés generously supplied by misschu, tickets are expected to sell out fast - so get in early to guarantee a seat.
