The Crown Palladium Ballroom will be transformed in to a star-gazing extravaganza to hold the annual Red Ball on Saturday 18 October in support of the Fight Cancer Foundation.
To help celebrate 22 years glamorous of entertainment and fundraising, this years’ theme is inspired by the musical Hair with the official Hair touring company bringing a whole lot of retro and 60’s glam feel to life.
Nothing short of spectacular, this years’ Red Ball will be hosted by world-renowned Australian singer, performer, presenter and master of ceremonies, David Campbell. With an exciting array of entertainment Red Ball promises to be a knockout event.
Expect nothing but show stopping performances, with a few surprises and secret additions in store for this years’ event. Dine and be dazzled by the 40-piece orchestra that will kick off the night with a truly inspiring and magical psychedelic theme.
With a strong list of well-known supporters including patrons Deborra-Lee Furness and Hugh Jackman to ambassadors such as David Boon, Mark Beretta, and Simon Marshall, Red Ball still remains as one of the most premier charity events in Melbourne.

Over the past five years, Red Ball has raised over $2.8 million to fund Fight Cancer Foundations’ many lifesaving programs. All the proceeds raised from the night go towards the foundation to continue providing support to children and adults with cancers through their treatment, research, care and support programs.
Since its launch 22 years’ ago, Red Ball has hosted some out-of-this-world lavish and spectacular events, from ice-cream trucks to a 21-piece orchestra with Hugh Jackman’s Back on Broadway and a full scale circus event held in a circus tent to a whimsical masquerade ball. Red Ball continues to be the stand out charity event in Melbourne and the “must attend” gala for the year.
