One drop of blood has partnered with the National Breast Cancer Foundation with all sales of the porcelain balls going to raise funds for breast cancer research.
The work itself is a reaction to my the artist, Dan Elborne's mothers fight with breast cancer.
21,000 ceramic balls are the focus of this unique installation. ‘One Drop of Blood’ represents the white blood cell equivalent to one drop of human blood. The scale of the installation will overwhelm gallery goers while the use of porcelain reminds audiences of the preciousness and fragility of life.
