Purple Hearts Social Bowls Fundraiser - Has Ended

Join us on St Patrick's Day as we fundraise in our 10th year of 'Purple Hearts' - a dedicated group raising much-needed funds for the annual Harry Perkins Walk for Women's Cancer. We're hosting a fun-filled afternoon of social bowls, raffles, delicious food and drinks, all while supporting a great cause.

Our team has raised over $200,000 so far and this year we hope to add another $30,000 or more! Ticket sales for this event go directly to the Purple Hearts team's fundraising efforts for the 2024 New Town Toyota Harry Perkin's Walk for Women's Cancer.

Adults $30 pp (includes an arrival *drink token + bowls)

Children (>5 yrs) and Teens (<18 yrs) $20 pp (includes a non-alcoholic drink token + bowls)

Children 5 years and under attend free (please still register attendance)

BOWLING - Although bowling is completely optional, we'd love you to try. Volunteers will guide the social competition on the day. Teams of 4 are required. We'd appreciate teams being organised prior to the day so plan ahead and come up with your team name. Anyone not yet in a team won't miss out though - see one of our team members on arrival.

Our hosts request bare feet for bowling on the greens. Bowling is open to adults, teens and children (with adult supervision).

RAFFLE PRIZES - Bring coins, notes or credit card! We'll have a range of fabulous prizes to be won, with thanks to our many supporters.

FOOD - An afternoon tea grazing table of fruit, sweet and savoury treats will be available, also tea and coffee. For cold drinks a cash bar will be open at the venue (EFTPOS available). One drink token will be given to each attendee on arrival. *Adults may choose from a list of beer, wine, prosecco or soft drink. Children may choose a soft drink.

TIMING - Gate opens 2pm. Bowling starts 3pm. Winners announced at approximately 4.30pm, with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd! Event concludes 5pm.

PURPLE HEARTS TEAM - Formed in 2014, our team has now grown to 32 members with a dedicated following of family and friends. We're all touched by cancer in some way and it's a cause close to our hearts. We're raising funds for women's cancer research, right here in WA at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

This year, 'The Walk' takes place in Perth on Saturday 27 April and will see each member walk 35km, raising funds in the lead up.
