The AMRF Walk for Mela-No-More 2023 during National Skin Cancer Action Week this November is in its 4th year. We hope to keep it growing by reaching out to everyone to sign up for this national, online event.
Sign up and create a page, then ask friends and family to support your fundraising by donating – or by joining in and walking with you. It’s easy! You can set a daily goal or one for the week, then have fun and challenge yourself each day to achieve it.
National Skin Cancer Action Week is from Monday 20th to Sunday 26th November this year and with summer just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to highlight sun safety.
Why? with one person diagnosed with melanoma every 30 minutes and Australia having the highest rates of skin cancer in the world, it’s the perfect time to promote awareness and remind everyone that more than 90% of melanoma cases can be treated successfully if detected early. Early detection means having a regular skin check with a professional and keeping an eye on your own skin for any changes between checks.
By sharing your page with friends, family and work colleagues, you are letting them know what you are passionate about and giving them a friendly reminder to be sun safe.
