Support Brendas Battle Against Brain Cancer Fundraising Concert - Has Ended

Our friend and teammate, Brenda, is an MVP of the Sydney Women's Baseball League (SWBL), Tennis Sydney and Amazon Tennis communities.

She's a kind and generous friend who is selfless and always the first to lend a hand. She always turns up early and stays late to help.

In July 2023, Brenda was diagnosed with a serious brain cancer, and is starting treatment in August.

Because of the type and location of Brenda’s cancer, traditional surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy are not available. This means Brenda will have substantial out-of-pocket costs for treatment over the coming months.

Brenda needs our support in the coming months as she accesses treatment for her cancer.

We want to come together to support Brenda and let her know she’s not alone. Cancer has a huge emotional and physical impact, and it also has a substantial financial impact.

Fighting cancer isn’t just about medical treatments. We also want to raise funds for Brenda to tick a few fun things off her bucket list, hopefully travel to see her family, and manage day-to-day costs in treatment and recovery.

We are gathering our talented performers to hold a fundraising concert for Brenda.

Acts include:

• Pat M'Gash - The Muscle. The Mullet. The Man. Pat M'Gash is set to serve up some pretty ace jokes and maybe even a foul song dedicated to a special lady.
• Ally Ray - 1 guitar, 1 girl and a kick drum case. A little original, a little old school, a lot of fun! Barefoot tapping, raw indie-pop, folk
• Linda Montana - the ultimate drag queen! Linda has been in the entertainment industry for 20 years around Australia and has appeared in TV shows and music videos.
• Rusty Gates- Drag King looking forward to performing a couple of numbers
• Glee Club - performing a few classics
• Cynthia Su - RnB/Soul Singer-songwriter performing her originals.
