Live the Life You Please - Has Ended

Palliative Care Queensland will be hosting the screening of the film, Live the life you please, at The Elizabeth Picture Theatre which is located in the heritage-listed Tara House, built in 1928 and best known as the Old Irish Club in Elizabeth Street. Click here to watch the trailer

Live the life you please is an impact film campaign that will change the way you think about palliative care. Told by medical professionals, patients and their families, it is an intimate portrait of the end-of-life experience and makes profound observations about life, death and what happens in between.

Live the life you please boasts a treasure trove of incredible stories captured all around Australia, from cities and regional centres to remote communities. It will make you smile, laugh, laugh harder and occasionally shed a tear as it shares the stories of a diverse range of Australians experiencing their last chapter.

Stories include Australians of all ages, different stages of disease and a variety of geographical locations, cultural, socio-economic and personal circumstances.

Parking - Discounted $5 parking is available at Secure Parking Wintergarden (across the road). Parking ticket must be validated at the box office to receive the discount.

12:30pm Doors open 30 minutes before. Guests are welcome to arrive early, mingle and order food prior to the film.

12:55pm Introduction - 5 minutes

1:00pm Film Screening - 90 minutes

2:35pm Q&A (25 minutes) A panel of speakers will be available to host a short Q&A session after the film. Palliative Care information packs, from National Palliative Care Week 2023, will be given to each ticket holder at the event.
