Women on the Podium fundraiser - Has Ended

Perth Symphony Orchestra Founder and CEO Bourby Webster and Nicola Forrest invite you to the 2021 Women on the Podium launch.

Perth Symphony's Women on the Podium program is a unique conducting and leadership program, providing female West Australian musicians the opportunity to learn from world class conducting experts and the chance to lead orchestras.

The only program of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, it creates a safe place for women to excel. The program is entirely funded through the generosity of philanthropic women who believe in breaking down barriers and creating female leaders in WA.

Since launching in 2019, over 25 women have participated in this program, with participants leading every Perth Symphony owned concert since September 2020.

Perth Symphony is committed to continuing this important program in 2021, which is producing women who will change the face of orchestra music in WA for years to come.
