Frequently Asked Questions

Photography & Film Consent

Melbourne City Mission will be taking photographs and filming the event.  Please read the Waiver in the ticket booking section and contact us if you have any queries by emailing events@mcm.org.au

Dress Code

Spring Carnival is this year's theme. Please come dressed in your finest attire or harness your creativity by showing us your take on this years' theme.

If you don't know what to wear, don't worry.  We will have plenty of  props and items available at the photo booth to get everyone into the Spring Carnival groove.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

All guests attending this event should be 16 years or older. Please send an email to events@mcm.org.au if you wish to bring a younger person with you to the event.

Getting there

By car:

There is parking available around the town hall and in the near by train station car park. But given it's inner Melbourne,  parking is limited so we recommend, where possible, people get a taxi/uber to/from the venue. We have some parking available for those arriving in wheelchairs. Please follow the prompts in the order system if this applies to you or your fellow guests.

By Train:

The best public transport option is coming by train as the Collingwood train station is behind the town hall and a short minute's walk.

By Tram:

Catch tram number 109 or 12 from Collins Street in the city and alight at Victoria Parade. From Victoria Parade it is a twenty minute walk.

By Bus:

There are a number of buses that travel along Hoodle Street. Please go to:  https://www.ptv.vic.gov.au for more information.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Yes, you can transfer your ticket to another person by emailing  events@mcm.org.au with the names of the guest(s) attending and no longer attending and their dietary requirements.  All ticket transfers that have special dietary requirements must be emailed before Friday 23 November.

Can I update my registration information?

Yes. Please send an email to events@mcm.org.au if you need to update any of the information provided with your booking i.e food requirements, accessibility, names etc. Please note: all transfers with special dietary requirements must be emailed before Friday 23 November.

Yes. We will try to seat you with your friends.  Please provide the names of other guests included with your booking so we can seat you together on the same table. Also, if you know of other people who will be coming to this event and they are purchasing their own tickets separately, please add their names to the booking information or email this information to events@mcm.org.au

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You do not have to bring a printed ticket along. All guests will be shown to their table.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

If you can no longer attend and you do not wish to transfer your ticket to another person, please notify Melbourne City Mission in writing by emailing events@mcm.org.au  by 5pm Friday 16 November for a refund of the ticket price (not including the fees paid). Any cancellations after this time will not be refunded.
