MOTHER'S DAY CLASSIC PINK HIGH TEAJoin us for the Mother's Day Classic (MDC) Pink High Tea, on 27 October, 2018 in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Wear a touch of pink if you can! An afternoon of inspirational speakers, music, fun activities, lucky door prizes, raffles and silent auctions to help us raise vital funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation's research projects. Fund a goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030 and a better quality of life for all those impacted! You'll be served a delicious housemade selection of sweet and savoury treats, a glass of bubbles on arrival, as well as unlimited tea and espresso coffee. All funds raised through ticket sales and event day activities, including raffles and silent auctions, will be donated to the Mother's Day Classic Foundation - which supports the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
SEATING ARRANGEMENTSThe room will be set up in tables of 10, so get together with your friends, family or workmates to fill a table or two. And, if you don't have 10 people, we'll seat you with other small groups to ensure you have a place at the event. The MOTHER'S DAY CLASSIC (MDC) is an annual fun run and walk held around the country on Mother's Day, raising funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation's (NBCF's) research programs.
The PORT MACQUARIE MDC is run solely by local volunteers and seeks the support of local businesses from the Port Macquarie-Hastings area through financial sponsorship, donations of in-kind operations and services, as well as donations of products and services for fundraising raffles and event prizes.
1 in 8 Australian women and 1 in 700 Australian men are expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. And, sadly, 8 Australian women die from the disease every single day.
All funds raised by the Mother's Day Classic Foundation are donated to the NBCF's research projects - world class programs focusing on early detection, diagnosis and treatment. The NBCF is working towards zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.
The Port Macquarie MDC volunteers are continually looking at ways to raise awareness of breast cancer in the local community and also raise vital funds to support breast cancer research. We offer the Mother's Day Classic fun run/walk in May, on Mother's Day each year, and the Pink High Tea which is held during Breast Cancer Awareness month in October.
So, please help us support important, lifesaving research and breast cancer treatments.
