Thanks to Kingsmen, their parents, the UQ community and members of public, the inaugural 2017 Kings in Pink Fun Run & Walk raised over $5,000 to help fund invaluable research to define key processes in how breast cancer cells can be induced to die.

Since then the research team have moved their discoveries closer to new therapies, recently profiled on Channel 7 National evening news and Sunrise.

The 2018 fundraising goal is to raise $10,000 to support two new student research projects.

These important projects are intended to help discover new techniques that can identify a critical signal in breast cancer cells as they spread throughout the body during metastatic progression of the disease.
