Womens Wellness Brunch - Has Ended
DO Details
Jo Dempsey Owner of The Wellness Realm and Kaz Van Loenen Owner of Stoke Health and Fitness Invite you to have brunch with us to talk about Womens Mental Health and raise much needed funds towards Womens mental health research.
For this and on a more personal note, we have both been through some pretty traumatic times, both very different, but mentally having similar impacts. We have come from what seems like nothing but the skin on our back, to growing our own businesses and rising above all of the doubts we, and everyone else had about us. We are making it, and better than that, we are thriving!
We will be sharing our own stories as well as have some Inspiring Guest Speakers, Goodie bags to give away, Prizes and a scrumptious spread of grazing platters in a boho themed event.
Our aim with this is to bring different Women from a range of backgrounds together to bond and share their experiences and for those still going through a tough time, developing a safe space and network to reach out to, as we know just how lonely this world can feel sometimes.
So slip on your prettiest Boho dress and come Support Women's Mental Wellness. The offical Liptember Lippy can be purchased from all Chemist Warehouse stores or we will have some there on the day.
About Liptember
Liptember is a campaign dedicated to educating the community on women's mental health whilst raising funds towards specific women's mental health research and support programs.
funds raised during the month of September are donated to the Centre of Women’s Mental Health, Lifeline, Batyr, RUOK?, The Jean Hailes Foundation and The Pretty Foundation
Currently, the majority of mental health research is focused on men's mental health, with the findings applied to both men and women. This has resulted in a number of programs and prevention strategies that are unable to fully assist the mental health needs of the female population. The Liptember campaign hopes to change that.
By placing a gender lens on mental health, research has shown to be more accurate and support programs more effective.
