CALLING ALL WRITERS!

Library For All invites experienced, emerging and never-tried-it-before writers to a one-day workshop with author Michelle Worthington. Learn how to write an engaging picture book for kids, then donate your story to a unique global book collection.

YOUR DAY

Michelle will guide you through the process of writing for children, from idea to finished manuscript. Discover what makes a great book for kids, and how to engage young readers using devices like tension and character development.

At the end of the day, you'll have gained skills, made friends and created a solid draft story. All stories accepted for the library will then be edited, illustrated, published and shared with thousands of kids around the world.

Please arrive on time at 9.30am for registration. Workshop commences at 10am.

DO Supports

Library For All is an Australian nonprofit organisation with a mission to let the world read. We create quality, diverse books for communities where history, poverty or remoteness prevents access to traditional libraries. Millions of children around the world are not reaching basic literacy standards, even if they attend school. One reason for this is a lack of books and educational resources. How can you learn to read if you don't have books? We work with authors, illustrators and educators to deliver engaging kids' books via a unique, freely available library.  Open your mind to a new kind of library. A library for ALL!  libraryforall.org.au
