Cranebrook Wetlands Rescue - Has Ended
DO Details
Wetlands help keep our neighbourhood healthy! Cranebrook Wetlands are not only home to native wildlife, including long neck turtles, frogs and native fish, but also help filter the water for our rivers, which eventually ends up back in our homes.
Help rescue a local wetland by removing invasive weeds choking out native species!
Listen to frogs and watch birds fly in for breakfast - all while contributing to making this wetland a welcoming, healthy place for native wildlife.
When: Meet onsite at 9:30am Olive Lane, Cranebrook or pick up from Penrith Station at 9:00am. The rescue event will wrap up at 2:00 pm.
*Suitable for families with kids 7 years and up!
** OH Gosh, I didn't mention... we throw in a yummy morning tea to say thanks!
What to bring: You'll need to wear sturdy boots or closed in shoes, long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and a hat. A delicious morning tea will be provided so you can share a cuppa with local ecologists who will share their passion for these unique ecosystems.
