Zonta Club of Canberra is having an Afternoon High Tea
We are delighted to invite you to dress up and join us for an Afternoon Tea in a beautiful location. Come along and help the Zonta Club of Canberra Inc to raise funds for our local projects - Canberran Women's Shelters, Breast Cushion project, Birthing Kits and Street to Home Program (St Vincent de Paul).
Come and enjoy a delicious afternoon tea beside the lake with a glass of bubbles on arrival.

Zonta is an international service organization with the mission of advancing the status of women, with over 33,000 women and men working together in more than 1100 clubs in 65 countries around the world. We provide service and advocacy through projects to improve the health, education, economic and political status of women and girls. The Zonta Club of Canberra Inc was chartered in 1969. Here in the Nation's capital we are supporting women through a variety of community-based projects. Our current flagship projects for this year are: supporting local women's shelters, Breast cushion project, Birthing kits and the Canberra branch of the St Vincents De Pauls Street to Home Program.
To assist in this work, the Canberra club will hold various fund-raisers throughout out the year. Some examples of the items that will be provided to the women's refuge are toiletries and personal items, linen, mattresses and beds and Christmas hampers. This year our club is supporting 'The Street to Home Program' in addition, other ongoing club projects are:
The Zonta Breast Care Cushion project, involving the making of the cushions for women and men from the Canberra district who are recovering from breast cancer surgery.
The Zonta Scholarship Program, providing scholarship awards to women in tertiary education in non-traditional fields at the Canberra Institute of Technology and the University of Canberra
The Zonta Birthing Kit Assembly Project, providing materials to assist improve the childbirth outcomes for women in developing countries.
