All money raised from the Jazz In the Garden event will go directly to the Australian Craniofacial Unit’s ongoing research into a 1 in 2000 genetic condition that causes babies to be born with fused growth plates in their skulls and an uncertain future.
The Unit’s craniosynostosis research is getting closer every year to a genetic breakthrough in the condition which requires major surgery at just six months old to separate a baby’s tiny growth plates. Craniosynostosis is also present in rare and more complex syndromes that may require multiple operations.
