The Parramatta Holroyd Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Committee are funded by Women’s NSW and also receive grants from local Councils and Club Grants. The Committee is made up of government and non-government representatives working to prevent violence against women which is experienced in the private worlds of their partner and family relationships.
To commemorate the 16 Days of Activism the Parramatta Holroyd Family and Domestic Violence Committee have organised a White Ribbon Day Breakfast to help raise awareness and connect the community with services that deal with Domestic Violence issues.
24th November 2017
A breakfast will be held at Guildford Leagues Club at 8.30am – 11.00am. This event will be in conjunction with our It’s Time to talk campaign where we are encouraging local community leaders, business owners and community members to attend and show their support to end Domestic Violence. We will be distributing disposable coffee cups to local cafes and coasters to the local pubs to provide information to Domestic Violence sufferers and also to perpetrators who seek help. Our campaign encourages men to become the leaders to stop the atrocities of Domestic Violence against women.
Please call Cumberland Women's Health Centre on 02 96893044 to make a dontation or purchase tickets.
The White Ribbon Day Campaign is a national initiative that focuses on the positive role that men play in preventing violence against women and is a way for men to safely challenge the attitudes of the percentage of men who use or condone violence.
We look forward to seeing you there!
