Call for Innovative Ideas to End Homelessness

The 2017 Annual Forum on Women and Homelessness

To be held on Wednesday August 30th 2017 in Brisbane, Queensland

Do you have an innovative idea that could end homelessness?

The Innovation Challenge is on!

_________________________________________________________

Queensland’s only annual event focusing on the issue of women’s homelessness is returning to Brisbane for its 9th Forum.  Attended by hundreds of representatives from government, community and corporate organisations – this is your opportunity to make a difference and be heard.

We are now seeking contributors to pitch their innovative solutions to end homelessness at the Annual Forum to be held on the Wednesday 30th of August 2017.

With over 100,000 people experiencing homelessness in Australia and up to 2,000 women a night experiencing homelessness in Brisbane alone - we believe that new innovative ideas are needed.

We are challenging all innovators to make a pitch - from business professionals, not-for-profits, the communities sector, universities, students or the broader community.

Your innovation could be a small or large-scale solution involving a new business model, property, funding, technology, partnerships and much more.

Your innovation could address some of the causes of homelessness such as poverty, unemployment, domestic or family violence, unaffordable housing, poor physical or mental health or substance abuse.

Your innovation could be about early intervention before homelessness occurs; during a homeless period; or follow up solutions for individuals that have moved away from homelessness.

If you take up this challenge you will be joining a network of influential thought leaders - introducing your new innovation - with future potential and bringing real time solutions and dialogue to the Forum.
