Ronald McDonald House Charities Tasmania Gala Ball - Has Ended
DO Details
Tickets are now available for the upcoming Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Tasmanian Gala Ball. The ball aims to raise vital funds for the charity and its programs throughout Tasmania, helping to keep families close in times of need.
This annual black tie event, now in its 22nd year, will host over 500 guests for a night of fine food, wine and headline entertainment. Peppered with silent and live auctions and money ’can’ buy experiences, all funds raised on the night go directly to the Ronald McDonald House Hobart and the Ronald McDonald Learning Program in Tasmania.
By providing a home away from home, Ronald McDonald Houses allow families to stay close to their sick children while they receive hospital treatment. Ronald McDonald House Hobart is at capacity almost every night. This House alone provided over 5,000 bed nights last year, meaning resources at the Houses are stretched.
As well as the House, 2016 saw Ronald McDonald House Charities support 32 Children in Tasmania through the Learning Program. The Program enable children with serious illness and their siblings who would otherwise miss out on education, to continue or catch up with schooling.
Craig Brakey, Tasmania RMHC Gala Ball Chairman said, "We’re incredibly excited about this year’s Gala and we hope everyone who attends has a fantastic night raising money for such a worthy cause.
The funds from the Ball will no doubt make a world of difference to each and every family that is currently staying in our Hobart House, or will in the future”.
It’s a night not to be missed!
