CharityDOs Update - August

CharityDOs Visits Charities

CharityDOs recently visited with two charities in Brisbane. Firstly with Amanda Barnett, General Manager Butterfly Babies for the Perinatal Research Centre at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH).  The Butterfly Babies extensive fundraising program provides funds for world class, cutting edge Perinatal Research Centre led by Professor Paul Colditz who is committed to improving perinatal health through world class biomedical and clinical research.  To raise the important funding needed, the 2013 Butterfly Ball will be held on Saturday November 2 at the Sofitel Hotel in Brisbane. CharityDOs will be there!

Secondly Amanda visited with Hear and Say in Auchenflower Brisbane and its Founder Dr Dimity Dornan. Hear and Say is one of the leading paediatric Auditory-Verbal and Implantable Technology (including cochlear implants) centres in the world, teaching children who are deaf to hear, listen and speak since 1992.  Hear and Say will be the beneficiary of the Melbourne Cup Luncheon to be held on November 5 at Spring Food & Wine in Felix Street Brisbane.  CharityDOs will be there!

Read Amanda’s DOs blog on CharityDOs.com.au for visit details.  Email Amanda to arrange a visit or tell her about your fundraising events that she can blog in Brisbane or the Gold Coast.

CharityDOs Supports Fundraising Events

CharityDOs was at the Second Chance Luncheon at the Baguette Restaurant in Ascot Brisbane in late July and the Mater Foundation Red, White and Sparkling Dinner at the Hillstone Golf Resort in St Lucia Brisbane in August.  Read Amanda’s DOs blog on CharityDOs.com.au for details on these events.

List Your Melbourne Cup Luncheon on CharityDOs

Melbourne Cup is less than 3 months away.  List your Melbourne Cup Luncheon ASAP on CharityDOs to get the word out for your event.  Many Melbourne Cup luncheons are appearing on the Web with no charity fundraising activities that I can find! This is a great opportunity for charities to raise funds around this iconic event. Put together your Melbourne Cup Lunceon raffle or other fundraising activities and list it on CharityDOs.
