Ywcas Bid For Equality - Equal Pay Day Handbag Auction Party - Has Ended
DO Details
We are having a PARTY! And we want you to come.
Arrive off Grenfell Street and as you enter the stunning Adelaide Arcade take your complimentary glass of sparkling and meander up the grand Arcade until you hear the music.
Wander around the bags on display and read the stories of a whole range of women and the bags they've carried and where they have been and what they mean.
On this night - Saturday 6 September - be there for the final moments and closing bids of this online fundraising auction. At the event, you can also bid, so please bring an electronic device to be in the bidding.
More than 50 prominent women are participating in this fundraiser, donating bags to raise funds for YWCA of Adelaide's women's leadership work and to help draw attention to Australia's 17.1% gender pay gap.
You will see all of these bags on display, enjoy guest speakers, music, delicious food, and a fundraising bar.
Which bag did Australia's first female Prime Minister take to the Mid Winter Ball? What kind of bag does Westpac CEO Gail Kelly use? Why did Tanya Hosch - Deputy Campaign Director of the Recognise Campaign - buy this bag? Why did Susan Carland part with her donation with a heavy heart? What is the story behind Rebecca Morse's bag? Where did Tammy Franks travel with her bag?
Come and find out about all of these stories - and more - and party with us as we celebrate the final night of the Equal Pay Day Handbag Auction.
When you support our Bid for Equality - we all benefit.
