The University of Sydney Amnesty International Society is hosting a free lunchtime event focusing on freedom of the press and freedom of expression. Join us for our panel discussion to hear the views and ideas of our special guests as well as the opportunity to ask some questions of your own. Our guest speakers include:

*Dr Peter Chen, Senior Lecturer, University of Sydney. Peter teaches media politics and has research interests in media regulation and political communication.

*Trisha Jha, Policy Analyst, Centre for Independent Studies. Trisha focuses on social policy and has a strong interest in classical liberal ideas.

*Cathy Wilcox, cartoonist and illustrator. Cathy has drawn somewhere around 20,000 cartoons over her career so far, capturing both the absurdity and the tragedy of our times. Her subjects range from serious political comment on the issues of our times such as the Iraq war and Economic Rationalism to the funny side of everyday life. Cathy’s cartoons appear most days in the Sydney Morning Herald and Sun-Herald.

Refreshments will be provided.
