DO Supports

The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter is an aero-medical emergency service which operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our life saving missions have saved over 7500 lives in the northern region of NSW and the service covers a region from the Queensland border south to Nambucca Heads, west to Glen Innes & Tenterfield, and east beyond the coastline - over 80,000sq kms in total. We rely on the generous support of the community to help fundraise over 60% of our annual $7m operating budget. All money raised within our flight path stays in our region and goes directly towards ensuring the Helicopter is on standby 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to the community. The Rescue Helicopter Service is FREE of charge to patients that are transported.
