Light Up the Illawarra - Wollongong NSW - Has Ended

The Rotary Clubs of the Illawarra will 'Light Up the Illawarra' to celebrate the 110th Birthday of Rotary International on Monday 23 February, 2015. On this occasion, Sublime Point at Bulli Tops, Mt Keira Summit Park, and Saddleback Mountain, Kiama will be 'lit up' just after dusk. Other Rotary Clubs around Australia will join in, illuminating high points in their area at the same time.

The lighthouses at Flagstaff Hill and Kiama Blowhole Point will be illuminated with the logos of Rotary International and 'End Polio Now' appearing on the Wollongong Lighthouse. Community involvement will be in the form of Rotary barbecues at Kiama Blowhole, Flagstaff Hill, and Sandon Point from 5.30pm. There will be displays all of the emergency services' equipment All proceeds from the barbecues will be directed to the Polio Plus campaign (End Polio Now) which is the major charity of Rotary International.
