Melanoma March - Bathurst NSW - Has Ended
- Light entertainment and refreshments will be available
- Approximate 4km loop
This morning walk is easy and great for the whole family. Taking part is not only good for your health, but you’re also fundraising and raising awareness for Australia’s national cancer! You’re encouraged to take part as Australia unites to fight this devastating disease.
Approximately 200km west of Sydney, Bathurst is the oldest inland settlement in Australia and the site of the first gold discovery in Australia through the gold rush. This traditional Australian town is home to one of MIA's original Melanoma March events.
In 2015, participants of the event are welcome to march, walk, stroll or even run the event. We encourage runners make their way to the front of the pack at the start of the event. Please note; this is not a timed event.
The host of this event, Veronica Manock is a dedicated supporter of Melanoma Institute Australia hoping to raise funds and awareness to help change the outcome and quality of life of people living with melanoma. Veronica and the team at Melanoma Institute Australia encourage you to get involved and march to one day find a cure!
WHAT TO WEAR?
We encourage all Melanoma Marchers to practice their sun safety while taking part in this event. Sunscreen will be available at all events, but we suggest that you apply your sunscreen before leaving home. Participants are also encouraged to dress appropriately with sun-safe clothing, hats and sunglasses and remember your comfortable shoes.
