Cairns will be welcoming Melanoma Institute Australia to their town for the first time in March 2015, as the community bands together to march toward a cure. The first annual Melanoma March Cairns will take place from the picturesque Western Event Lawn on Cairns Esplanade, located on the western side of the lagoon.

Melanoma March Cairns will commence from the lawn and participants will head to the Pirate Ship before looping and returning to Western Event Lawn for refreshments and entertainment.

In 2015, participants of the event are welcome to march, walk, stroll or even run the event. We encourage runners to make their way to the front of the pack at the start of the event. Please note; this is not a timed event.

Nicole Brown will be hosting this event in memory of her sister Mardi Fletcher. Nicole is a dedicated supporter of Melanoma Institute Australia, hoping to raise funds and awareness to help change the outcome and quality of life of people living with melanoma. Nicole, her family and the team at Melanoma Institute Australia encourage you to get involved and march to one day find a cure!

Getting there:

There are car parks located along the length of the Esplanade and on-street car parking spaces throughout the Cairns CBD. Parking restrictions and fees may apply.

What to wear?

Sunscreen will be available at all events, but we suggest that you apply your sunscreen before leaving home.
