This early morning coastal walk is easy and great for the whole family. Taking part is not only good for your health, but you’re also fundraising and raising awareness for Australia’s national cancer! You’re encouraged to take part as Australia unites to fight this devastating disease.

Bribie Island is located off the Queensland coast approximately 1 hour north of Brisbane. Bribie Island is an unspoilt paradise, popular amongst tourists and locals alike, boasting white sands, stunning views and a hub of local businesses offering a number of dining and entertainment options.

The first ever Melanoma March Bribie Island will commence from the Volunteer Marine Rescue at Bribie and walk north to Sunset Park before returning to the start location.

Joy Leishman is the dedicated volunteer hosting the 2015 Melanoma March Bribie Island for the first time. Joy and her family have been directly impacted by melanoma and are hoping to raise funds and awareness to help change the outcome and quality of life of people living with this disease. The local committee and the team at Melanoma Institute Australia encourage everyone to join in on the march to one day find a cure!

Getting there:

There is ample parking at the Volunteer Marine Rescue, Marine Parade, Bellara.
