What is happening on event day?
What sort of dancing and exercise will we do?
First things first: Don’t worry about having to look like Elle, Kylie or Miranda. With dance, yoga, stretches and resistance workouts, Bust a Move is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
Bust a Move is broken down into six fitness sessions which are taught like exercise classes. Professionally trained fitness instructors will demonstrate options to accommodate various fitness levels, from beginners to experienced gym-goers, so you need not worry about keeping up—participants are encouraged to pace themselves and enjoy the day!
There will be breaks between each fitness session so you can grab something to eat, refill your water bottle, get photos with your team and catch your breath again before the next exciting session. We encourage you to take as many breaks as you need throughout the day.
Anyone over the age of 16 can participate.
By the time the event rolls around you will have raised an incredible $1000 for Mater chicks in pink—what an extraordinary effort, one you should be very proud of. This money will provide practical assistance for women going through breast cancer treatment and will also help fund world-class research to improve the way we treat cancer and fight for a cure.
The team at Bust a Move HQ will help you every step of the way, providing tips, tricks and templates to have you meeting and beating your fundraising goal in no time. We also have first-hand advice from participants who've turned raising money into an art form.
Funds can be raised individually or you can form a team with your colleagues, friends or family. Teams can be as small as two or as big as you’d like, by event day you'll have raised the equivalent of $1000 each. Now that's an achievement to shout from the rooftops!
