The White Ribbon Campaign works to prevent male violence against women. It is a male-led campaign that believes that most men abhor and oppose such violence. The White Ribbon Campaign also believes in the capacity for individuals to change and encourage change in others. The campaign seeks to change the attitudes and behaviours that lead to and perpetuate violence against women.
Anywhere from one-quarter to one-third, and even up to one-half of Australian women will experience physical or sexual violence by a man at some point in their lives.
