Seam Schoolmatewanskul Fundraiser - Potts Point NSW - Has Ended
DO Details
Please join us for a unique evening of food and wine with author Drusilla Modjeska at the Sydney chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects, and help us to raise funds for non-profit SEAMfund.org. and its Schoolmate/ Wanskul project. The event will be opened by the High Commissioner of PNG Mr Charles Lepani.
Schoolmate / Wanskul is designed to support community-based literacy in Papua New Guinea. It is a transportable box of books, art supplies, language aids, solar panels, a water tank, and a translucent canopy roof, that will be sent to remote schools, starting with the village of Tainabuna.
Each Schoolmate / Wanskul that you help to build, will support local primary schools, and provide a place for long-distance education (supporting teenagers who wish to continue their studies into high school) and for adult literacy.
Entry $90/ person (+ online booking fee), which includes delicious food and wine, lucky door prizes and a copy of “The Mountain” signed by Drusilla. Tickets to join an extraordinary travel adventure in PNG and artworks will be auctioned on the night. Net proceeds will go towards SEAM.
