Hands Across Canberra provides a unique collaborative approach to fundraising for community organisations delivering a range of support services to the people of Canberra.
Many local disadvantaged people are invisible to the majority of Canberrans. Making a connection with all people regardless of their disability or homelessness or other status is one of our greatest community challenges.
Now in its fifth year, the Hands Across Canberra lunch provides an opportunity for Canberra businesses and corporate citizens to make a difference to the disadvantaged in our community.
This year’s guest speaker Mr Harold Mitchell is the founder of Mitchell & Partners and Executive Chairman of Aegis Media Pacific. Mitchell & Partners, the company he founded in 1976, is the largest media and communications group in Australia today, with a growing presence in New Zealand and across the Asia-Pacific region. In 2000, Mr Mitchell launched the Harold Mitchell Foundation to promote health and the arts in the community. The organisation has since provided over $6m in grant funding to over 100 different organisations.
The Hands Across Canberra lunch is one of the premier fundraising events on Canberra’s corporate calendar.
Individual tickets are $120 inc. GST.
