Please come and support a fabulous cause. Starick is a not-for-profit organisation working to support women, children and young people affected by family and domestic violence. Starick has been working in the south east metropolitan corridor of Perth since 1985 and provides two refuges for women and children escaping domestic and family violence. Starick also provides outreach services to women living in the community, including to women who have recently left the refuge and are re-establishing themselves in the community.
The support Starick provides to women and children includes crisis and medium term housing, counselling and support groups, programs for children, court and legal support.
Starick works alongside women and children to support them to rebuild their lives, to establish long term housing and independence and to link in to their communities.
As a non-for-profit organisation Starick relies on the generiosity of businesses, community groups and individuals for sponsorship, donations of money, clothing and household items, and other in-kind support. This support enables us to build on the programs we provide with government funding by running special programs and activities or providing additional assistance to the women, children and young people using our services.
