HDFA Nepal Fundraising Dinner - Adelaide - Has Ended
DO Details
The Twining, Galloway Warland and Arnold Chessell families are putting on their hiking boots to raise money to educate and support the children of Sherpa communities livinge in the remote mountains of the Nepal Himalaya. Our 14 day trek into the shadow of the world’s 3rd highest peak, Mt Kanchenjunga will take us through this remote area which is visited by very few trekkers, and is in great need of foreign support. We will trek on mountain paths which provide the only access for local people and aim to trek to the village of Ghunsa at 3,400m and on, up to Kanchenjunga Base Camp at 5,200m.
You’re invited to a fundraising dinner at A Taste of Nepal, where we will be sampling excellent Nepalese cuisine. On the night we will see a short presentation about the project and trekking in Nepal in general from Australian mountaineer and HDFA board member Duncan Chessell. (Come along for a relaxing dinner, no live auction!)
A Taste of Nepal will serve us a Banquet Menu including wine (soft drink for children).
Tickets: $80 per adult; $23 per child
