In support of Teen Challenge, Carlos and Meghan are hosting a “Roller Racing/Paluza” on Saturday the 4th September 2014.
Roller Racing/Paluza involves stationary bikes, with the same gearing, hooked up to a screen that lets the audience see how "far" each rider has gone within a set period of time. The format for the night will be sets of two riders facing off in a series of rounds culminating in a grand final.
Up for grabs is the door prize of a set of Specialized Roval rapide clx 60 wheels. Other prizes include bike services from Cycle Bespoke and Ride Advice, with the grand final winner cycling away with the inaugural Roller Derby Tour de Freedom trophy.
To make sure you feel like you are out racing on the road, this year’s event will feature Matt Poyner as the official race caller.
This is a great opportunity to cycling enthusiasts, and those that prefer to watch others suffer, kick start a roller racing/paluza scene in Perth.
