Adelaide resident Alex Dunkley was diagnosed with an Oligodendroglioma Grade 3 tumour at 27 years of age. Two years later she is in her own words 'a travel addict' and has 'a lust for life', as you can read in her moving personal blog 'the miracle of a single flower'.
Alex is the local organiser behind Walk4BrainCancer Adelaide, so please join Alex and her family and friends for the 7.5km scenic walk along the Torrens River and help raise funds and support for brain cancer research.
Alex would like to dedicate this years Walk4BrainCancer Adelaide to Rome Torti. Alex says; "He was one of those incredible people that never gave up, lived every single moment of his life with passion and determination despite cancer. He never took anything for granted and gave hope and will continue to give hope to so many people. You will always be my biggest hero." facebook.com/supportrome
Register to walk as an individual, join another local Walk4BrainCancer Adelaide team or create your own team and ask friends and family to walk with you.
After registering, set up your personal Walk4BrainCancer Adelaide fundraising page or if you are walking as part of a team, set up a team fundraising page.
Invite people to sponsor you and watch the total we raise for Walk4BrainCancer nationally grow. Watch this page too for a little bit of rivalry as Adelaide takes on the other capital cities to see which Walk4BrainCancer can raise the most funds for research!
Wear a touch of purple or buy one of our Walk4BrainCancer t-shirts. If you walking as a group, you can even personalise your team t-shirts with a message and photo on the back and show Australia who you are walking for.
