This Saturday, come along to Manheim Brisbane and bid farewell to 50 teams of fundraisers as they embark on an adventure of a lifetime, crossing mysterious landscapes armed with gaffer tape, cable ties and a whole lot of courage. Now in its second year, Mystery Box will take a convoy of participants on a five-day unforgettable boutique rally, starting in Brisbane on Saturday 23rd August 2014 – raising money, awareness and much needed funds for research initiatives for the Cancer Council.
The mystery? The teams have no idea of the route or the vehicles that will take them there.
A light hearted approach to a serious cause, Mystery Box, the mad baby brother of Shitbox Rally, is completely unique with teams approaching the starting point with nothing but their personal essentials. It’s a leap of faith as teams journey together out of their comfort zones to destinations unknown along some of Australia’s most deserted and scenic roads. Teams will receive the day’s route the morning they embark, camping overnight in often remote locations and hidden gems. The round trip offers a different challenge to Shitbox Rally – fewer teams, shorter in distance and less days travelling but no less daring as teams begin the rally without a car or any idea of where they are headed!
Manheim, Australia's leading car auction company, source 50 cars that teams will bid on at private auction the night prior to departure, with all funds raised going towards vital Cancer Council research.
With Mystery Box comes a whole new twist on the concept of mystery travel and having fun whilst raising money for a very important cause. For more information or to donate to the Cancer Council and show your support, visit http://www.mystery-box.com.au/ or http://www.facebook.com/mysteryboxrally.
