Dust off your 20’s 30’s & 40’s wardrobe for a “Step Back In Time” history train event:

 As part of Mt. Barker’s 175th Anniversary, Tatty K is proud to present The “Costume Picnic Train”

From Mt Barker to Strathalbyn return, riding in a train from that era.

clickety clack your way down the rails to the sound of musicians of the past, enjoy the period costumes, experience historic re-enactors and roaming circus performers, history presentations at Mount Barker & at Strathalbyn, taste sweets and treats from days past, re-live our region's diverse history,

Come dressed in early to mid. 19thcentury clothing to receive a complimentary morning tea ($5 for those not in costume). Bring your own picnic basket or pre-purchase a Picnic Hamper for 2 people @ $16, or 4 people @ $30 by contacting organiser and request a "Hamper order form".

Tatty K is an artist and community advocate who has been working with Steamranger to develop new initiatives that better utilize the railway infrastructure in and around Mount Barker. Over the past year Tatty K and a group of Steamranger volunteers have been creating a documentary about the history of the Mount Barker to Victor Harbor railway line and SteamRanger. The Film: "50 Miles of Track - The SteamRanger Story", directed by Iain Herridge, will be launched exclusively during September 2014.
