DO Details

The Big Red Kidney Walk in Sydney will feature a quick and easy 2km walk around the picturesque harbour.

Kidney Health Australia's Big Red Kidney Walk is designed to help raise awareness and funds for kidney disease across Australia. It is an event that brings the kidney community together for a family fun day where people can meet, go for a walk or run and enjoy a BBQ and entertainment.
Simultaneous walks will be held on 14 September 2014 in Adelaide, Brisbane, Launceston, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. The walks will feature varying distances to accommodate walkers and runners of all ages and abilities. A gold coin donation BBQ will be held for all event participants after the walk’s conclusion and will feature entertainment for the whole family.
Participants are encouraged to make efforts to fundraise on behalf of Kidney Health Australia. Funds raised from this year’s Big Red Kidney Walk will support Kidney Health Australia’s key research programs and priorities.

Kidney Health Australia invites communities to host their own Big Red Kidney Walk if a walk is not yet happening in their city or town.

By getting active as a community to raise funds and awareness for kidney health, we can all make a difference!
