UN Women Australia | Trek for Rights 2026 : Bay of Fires
DO Details
Join UN Women Australia for an unforgettable experience along Tasmania’s spectacular Bay of Fires, raising vital funds for women and girls who are most affected by the climate crisis. On this once in a lifetime trek, you’ll explore the region’s pristine coastlines, discover hidden coves, and walk beside striking orange lichen-covered rocks and crystal clear waters. You’ll share this inspiring journey with a group of passionate, like-minded individuals and together, you’ll not only forge lasting friendships but also walk with purpose.
By taking part in UN Women - Trek for Rights Bay of Fires 2026, you’ll help to put gender equality at the heart of climate action. In 2023 alone, disasters caused 26.4 million internal displacements worldwide. While the climate crisis affects us all, women and girls are most impacted. Their livelihoods, health, and safety are increasingly at risk as climate change worsens existing gender inequalities. Funds raised will support the UN Women's EmPower Program, that supports women to thrive in a changing climate. With a focus on renewable energy, the program provides financial support and skills development to empower women to become renewable energy entrepreneurs – creating sustainable livelihoods and strengthening the resilience of their families and communities. Your support also helps ensure women are represented in climate decision-making, bringing their voices and wisdom to the table.
For the month of July, you can join for just $1 (normally $390). We hope you consider joining us today.
