Get ready for a night of laughs at Proud 2 Play’s League of Laughter 2025! Taking place at Mollies Bar and Diner in Fitzroy, this exciting event brings together four of Australia’s best comedians to raise funds for LGBTIQA+ inclusion in sport and recreation. All proceeds will go towards supporting Proud 2 Play’s vision of making sport a welcoming space for everyone in the community.

This year will feature four amazing acts:

Alex Ward (Instagram)

Known for her whip-smart punchlines and relatable humour, Alex Ward is a regular guest on Have You Been Paying Attention? and the host of the hilarious podcast Ready, Steady, Wardy. With her dry delivery and keen observations, Alex brings personal stories to life in a way that’s both wickedly funny and heartwarming.

Nick White (Instagram)

One of the fastest-rising stars in Australian comedy, Nick White is a master of impressions and sketch comedy, with over 700k followers on social media and 40 million likes on TikTok. Expect fresh, hilarious takes from this viral sensation.

Tom Ballard (Instagram)

Award-winning comedian and political satirist, Tom Ballard, has performed all over the world and starred in the hit series Deadloch. With a sharp wit and a unique ability to tackle big issues with humour, Tom is a powerhouse of laughs and insight.

Sez (Instagram)

Armed with a guitar and a fearless attitude, Sez brings a fresh Gen Z perspective to the stage with her comedy, music, and viral social media sketches. With material that’s both raw and hilarious, Sez’s relatable stories and folk-pop songs will keep you laughing all night.

Proud 2 Play are a not-for-profit organisation aiming to increase LGBTQI+ engagement in sport, exercise and active recreation. To do this, we work with all levels of the sporting community, from individual participants and grassroots communities, to state and national sporting organisations through education, implementing inclusive policy, running events and conducting research. We seek to encourage LGBTQI+ people (as well as their allies, friends and families) to participate and engage in sport and exercise by providing structured opportunities and pathways for them to do so. Engagement is not limited to just actively participating in sport; the physical, mental and social benefits of sport should be experienced by active participants, volunteers, coaches and officials.
