The Beat the Dry launch event is being held at the Hedley Bull Centre at ANU to introduce the issues of water supply in Eastern Indonesia and to invite your participation in our challenge.
The Beat the Dry challenge is a chance for you to do something about poverty. By drinking only water for 2 weeks, you can raise funds to bring clean, safe water to people who need it. In 2011, we raised over $17,000. This year, we're hoping to reach $50,000.
From 18th to 31st August 2014, you can help the Nusa Tenggara Assocation (NTA) to beat the dry and raise funds to build water tanks and wells in some of the harshest areas of Indonesia.
Come join us to learn more about water issues in Eastern Indonesia, the work of NTA and our Beat the Dry challenge.
Guest speakers: The Hon Dr Andrew Leigh MP and Ms Silvia Fanggidae from East Nusa Tenggara.
Indonesian finger food for sale from 6.30pm.
**Note: The program schedule for the launch is still being finalised and will be provided in the next two weeks.
Beat the Dry 2014 is proudly suported by NTA and Australia-Indonesia Youth Association (AIYA) ACT.
