Gourmet Trivia - Ballarat VIC - Has Ended
DO Details
Livvi’s Place Ballarat is an inclusive play space joint project of the Touched by Olivia Foundation and the City of Ballarat. It is a play space unlike any other in our region. Through careful and innovative design, this play space will meet the needs of children and adults with physical, intellectual or sensory impairments and allow families affected by such disabilities to enjoy an outdoor play space as just other members of the community do currently.
Friends of Livvi's Place Ballarat is a group of volunteers working to raise awareness and funds towards making this project the best it can be. The Touched by Olivia Foundation has already completed 6 similar projects across Australia and it is the combination of government, corporate and community funding that has made each of them a success.
One major community fundraising event we are holding is a "Gourmet Trivia" night to be held on August 8th at 7.30pm in the gorgeous Lawless Room at Jacksons&Co, Ballarat. In some ways it will resemble a traditional trivia night with tables working as teams, silent auctions, etc. However, this will be a trivia night with a touch of class. Guests will receive a glass of wine and canapés on arrival. Once seated, they will enjoy a food platter and compete in four rounds of trivia: Wine, Music, Food and General Knowledge. All questions will be appropriately “high-brow” (ie. no Kardashians or actors from “Neighbours” allowed).
The wine round will involve tasting and identifying the year, variety and region of a series of wines. During the food round, guests will be invited to taste and smell certain foods and attempt to identify them or their ingredients. The music round will require participants to identify pieces played on a range of instruments by local musicians. A feast and a challenge for all of your senses. Will your team have what it takes to be crowned the kings and queens of gourmet trivia?
All proceeds will go towards play equipment for Livvi's Place Ballarat - a world class inclusive place space project for Victoria Park.
