Come to the screening of Award Winning Film 'I Am Eleven' and have the opportunity to meet with Jemira, one of the stars of the film who was 11 years old at the time of filming but is now 15 years old. Learn how mentoring has helped her journey through adolescence. "Big Brothers Big Sisters gave me a real sister at heart and opened up great opportunities for my future." To this day Jemira and her Big Sister are still working together, "Big Brothers Big Sisters allows you to be blessed, by being a blessing - it is life long and life changing".
Light refreshments will be served.
DVDs will also be available to be purchased.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is a non for profit organisation that has been running mentor programs for over 100 years internationally and over 30 years here in Australia. Big Brothers Big Sisters has helped tens of thousands of young people who have had little opportunity to develop positive and supportive relationships with adults. Many who are hungry for friendship, guidance acceptance and just to be heard.
We have started a new In School Mentoring Program in the City of Monash at 7 secondary schools and are looking to raise funds to keep the program up and running.
