The event
On the 19th of July, FoKR's in Melbourne will UNITE to help educate an Island. There will be finger food, GREAT raffle prizes to be won, a photobooth, dj and lots of fun and games. You will also be supporting a create cause doing amazing things for local cambodians. Tickets are 15$ and sold on the night!
What is FoKR?
FoKR was established in 2013 by a group of dedicated travellers committed to empowering the people of the Cambodian islands in a time of rapid international development. With new employment opportunities available to the local people comes the desperate need for education. Specifically, English education and sustainability practiced throughout the community. As a grass roots self funded organisation it relies solely on the generosity of donors and supporters around the world to continue helping the local community.
Why
Moving into the second year, Friends of Koh Rong is starting an outreach program. Currently there are over 400 children on the island without education and families living in remote areas do not have access to medical care. We aim to provide this to more children and families, at the start of 2015.
