DO Details

Every month in the Northern Territory, CareFlight crews fly 80,000 kilometres to provide care for more than 500 patients.

During May, we're asking Australians to sign up to our CareFlight Territory Challenge and collectively match this distance by setting your own exercise challenge. Sign up to complete a kilometre goal throughout May, or set a goal of the hours you’ll work out during the month. You can take part on your own, or in a team, and reach your Challenge target through any form/s of exercise and in any location.

  • Step 1: Choose your challenge - Register and set your May fitness goal
  • Step 2: Activate your Supporters - Share your challenge and raise vital funds to support CareFlight
  • Step 3: Launch Mission - Get fit, save lives, and feel great!

What does it cost?

Registration is free and all participants will be provided with a specialised fitness program designed by our expert personal trainer, Cobi Head, from CrossFit Abode.

Challengers who raise $50 or more will receive an exclusive Territory Challenge cap!

You will also receive fundraising tips and information about CareFlight’s training and missions, and the opportunity to win prizes.

Why the Territory?

Chris Garner, a Northern Territory man recounts he “almost died” before being rushed to hospital by CareFlight. He will be competing in the Territory Challenge with his wife and two daughters to give back to the organisation that saved his life.

“I woke up in the Intensive Care Unit and had no idea how I got there, I looked at my wife and burst into tears.”

Top End communities are some of the most remote and difficult-to-access locations in Australia. All funds raised support the CareFlight NT Rescue Helicopter and our Remote Trauma Courses, which provide life-saving medical care and training to Indigenous, rural, and remote community members.

How do I get started?

We look forward to journeying with you on the ground to support our hard-working crews in the air!
