GUAI Inaugural Charity Gala - Has Ended
DO Details
Griffith University Amnesty International invites you to our Inaugural Charity Gala, a fundraiser supporting the International Day for the Abolition of Slavery.
On the night, students, industry advocates and professionals will come together to support a cause: the abolition of slavery. In line with GUAI’s 2021 focus on Gender Equality, #5 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, we’d like to draw your attention to the disproportionate effect of slavery on women. Slavery is one of the fastest growing crime in the world, with 70% of enslaved being women and girls. We hope this night will be insightful and a place of networking, sharing and advocacy.
Being a Charity Gala, we are excited to announce that 30% of your ticket price will be donated to Amnesty International Australia to support their work on the abolition of slavery.
Additionally, when purchasing a ticket, you will go in the draw of our raffle prize which will be announced on the night! More raffle tickets will be available for purchase on the night.
